This Week's Riddle
Answer of Last Riddle

Sherly's Desk:

Johnny was screaming for help but he felt as no one was around him except his friends who were also drowning in water with him.  He looked around him and found himself in ocean of water.  Where I am... he mumbled... now he was trying to recall what had happened to him.

One Saturday morning he and his friends went for fishing.   His mom woke up early morning to prepare lunch for him.  She carefully packed his lunchbox with delicious sandwiches.  Johnny collected two of his friends and took his boat and went for fishing.  It was fun filled day for all of them.  They caught lot of fishes.

But soon they realized that water was entering inside the boat.   Oh, if it fills more we will be drowned, Johnny told his friends.  But what we can do now?  They tried to throw water out of boat but soon realized that water level is increasing rather than decreasing.  No way, we cannot throw water and our boat is about to sink, in desperation one of Johnny's friend screamed.  OK, let us wear our life jackets so that we may not sink with boat by saying this Johnny gave life jackets to his friends.  They all put their life jackets on but they were afraid and trembling with fear.  They knew that their lives on earth are for few moments.

Johnny said to his friends, "Let us pray and ask God for His protection."  They knelt down in sinking boat and started pleading the blood of Jesus on their lives.  They asked God to protect them.  Johnny asked both of his friends that whether they are saved or not?  He told them that if they are not saved or if their sins are not forgiven, they should ask God to forgive their sins.  He also told them to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior so that they may never die but live forever with Christ in heaven.  Both of his friends accepted Jesus as their personal Savior and asked God that, if they die today, they may enter into heaven.

Soon they realized that they are floating in water.  They held the boat tightly so that they may not drift away and because of life jackets they could keep their head above the water.  Because Johnny and his friends were in water for many hours they fell asleep and when they woke up they saw nothing around them but water.  Meanwhile Johnny's mother also prayed hard to bring his son back.   God heard the prayers and people from another boat spotted these young boys in water.  They came near and rescued them all.

Johnny told everyone that, how miraculously God saved us.   His mother told God did it according to this verse,
"They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed." (Psalms 34:5)

Catch of Fish

Jesus was stood by the Lake of Gennesaret and multitude pressed Him to hear the word of God.  Jesus saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a little from the land. Then He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.

When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing.  But still at Your word I will put the net."  And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.  So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!"  For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men."  So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook every thing and followed Him.
