From Sherly's Desk:
Ducky duck and friends went on a hiking trip. They chose a nice place and pitched their tent.  In Ducky's tent there were two more friends, Browny bread and Jo-Jo melon.  During day time, they enjoyed their trip and in the evening they prepared food and had a nice warm resting place in the tent.  They worked as a team.  Jo-Jo melon collected grain and water to cook the food.  Browny bread was allotted the work of keeping the tent tidy and neat.  Ducky duck cooked food for everyone.

The first few days went on very well.  They worked together and had fun together.  But one day they had a bitter fight.  Browny bread said, "oh, I work very hard to keep everything clean.  You have kept me in difficult place but you yourselves have taken easy work.  Jo-Jo do not have much work, but he has fun going out collecting food"  Jo-Jo said, "my work is difficult too.  I have to walk miles and miles to collect food and water.  There is no shop nearby and I feel very tired after going and bringing all these things.  But none of you cared about me a bit."  Ducky said, "Oh, do you think my work is easy?  No, it is the most difficult job to do"

Their arguments became very harsh and finally they decided to interchange their work with others.  So Browny bread took over the work of going outside to collect food and water and Jo-Jo melon to cook the food and Ducky duck started cleaning their tent.

Next day morning, Browny bread woke up early as he had to go and collect food and water.  He was excited to perform his new task.  All the way to market he was whistling and singing.  While returning, he sensed that dark clouds were forming and that the sky is getting dark and he thought, "soon heavy rain may pour down any moment." Oh, his heart started sinking.  "How will I reach home if rain comes", he thought.  While thinking about the possibility, rain started pouring down.  Browny took shelter under a big tree, but it wasn't of much help.  He thought, "Why did I start a fight.  If I had worked at home, this would not have happened to me."  Soon he got thoroughly socked due to heavy rain combined with high wind.  And it was the end of his life.

At home Jo-Jo started cooking the food.  He put some wood logs in fire.  When he tried to put a pot on fire, he slipped and fell in fire and got burnt badly.  By hearing the sound Ducky and others came rushing to the spot but it was too late.  Jo-Jo died as well.  Ducky lost his two friends on a single day.  He was badly disturbed and thought about the incidents, which took place in the last few days.  He wept bitterly and said, "if we had lived in peace without quarreling with each other, we would not have seen this day."

When we quarrel and fight, such things happen in our lives.  Jesus said in Matthew 12:25, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand."  Division brings destruction and failure in our lives, but Jesus came to this world to take away the wrong things from our lives and give us peace that world cannot give.  If you have not yet accepted Jesus in your life, invite Him today in your life.  When He will come in, He will give you peace and blessings in your life.

Bible Story:
Jephthah
Jephthah was a mighty man but he was rejected by his family members.  His brothers told him, 'you will have no inheritance in your father's house."  So he fled away from his brothers and dwelt in the land of Tob.  He walked with worthless people and went out raiding with them.  When the people of Ammon came to fight with Israel, the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah from the land of Tob.  They said to Jephthah, "Come and be our commander that we may fight against the people of Ammon."

So Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, "Did you not hate me, and expeled me from my father's house? Why have you come to me now when you are in distress?"  And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, "That is why we have turned again to you now, that you may go with us and fight against the people of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead." So Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, "If you take me back home to fight against the people of Ammon, and the LORD delivers them to me, shall I be your head?"  And the elders of Gilead agreed and said to Jephthah, "The LORD will be a witness between us, if we do not do according to your words." Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and commander over them; and Jephthah spoke all his words before the LORD in Mizpah.

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the people of Ammon, saying, "What do you have against me, that you have come to fight against me in my land?"  And the king of the people of Ammon answered the messengers of Jephthah, "Because Israel took away my land when they came up out of Egypt.  Now therefore, restore those lands peaceably."  So Jephthah again sent messengers to the king of the people of Ammon, and said to him, "Thus says Jephthah: 'Israel did not take away the land of Moab, nor the land of the people of Ammon; for when Israel came up from Egypt, they walked through the wilderness as far as the Red Sea and came to Kadesh.  Then Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, "Please let me pass through your land." But the king of Edom would not heed. And in like manner they sent to the king of

Moab, but he would not consent. So Israel remained in Kadesh. And they went along through the wilderness and bypassed the land of Edom and the land of Moab, came to the east side of the land of Moab, and encamped on the other side of the Arnon. But they did not enter the border of Moab, for the Arnon was the border of Moab.

Then Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, king of Heshbon; and Israel said to him, "Please let us pass through your land into our place."  But Sihon did not trust Israel to pass through his territory. So Sihon gathered all his people together, encamped in Jahaz, and fought against Israel.  And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they defeated them. Thus Israel gained possession of all the land of the Amorites, who inhabited that country.

And now the LORD God of Israel has dispossessed the Amorites from before His people Israel; should you then possess it?  And further he said to them, "I have not sinned against you, but you wronged me by fighting against me. May the LORD, the Judge, render judgment this day between the children of Israel and the people of Ammon.'" However, the king of the people of Ammon did not heed the words which Jephthah sent him.

Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah and he advanced toward the people of Ammon.  Then he made a vow before the Lord saying, "If You will indeed deliver the people of Ammon into my hands, then it will be that whatever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the people of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord's, and I will offer it up as a burnt offering."  So Jephthah advanced toward the people of Ammon to fight against them, and the LORD delivered them into his hands.  And he got a great victory over Ammonion and over other people.

When Jephthah came to his house at Mizpah, there was his daughter, coming out to meet him with timbrels and dancing; and she was his only child. Besides her he had neither son nor daughter. And when he saw her, he tore his clothes, and said, "Alas, my daughter! You have brought me very low! You are among those who trouble me! For I have given my word to the LORD, and I cannot go back on it."

So she said to him, "My father, if you have given your word to the LORD, do to me according to what you have spoken because the LORD has given you great victory over Ammon your enemy."  Then she said to her father, "Let this thing be done for me: let me alone for two months, that I may go and wander on the mountains and morn my friends."

So he said, "Go." And he sent her away for two months; and she went with her friends to cry on the mountains. And it was so at the end of two months she returned to her father, and he carried out his vow with her which he had vowed. And it became a custom in Israel that the daughters of Israel went four days each year to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite.

Is Bible Infallible? II

By Vinod Isaac

Jesus also claims that He exists even before Abraham existed.

John 8:56 "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad."
John 8:57 Then the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?"
John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."

So here we find a person who existed when earth was created. He not only existed but He was an eyewitness to the account and not only that He has His involvment in the creation.

Angels where eye witness to the creation in Rev 10:5-6 they also declare that God is the creator.
Rev 10:5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand  to heaven Rev 10:6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer,

Now all the scripture is written by the inspiration of Holy Spirit so Holy Spirit has put the stamp of approval for every thing written in Bible. What Holy Spirit has to say about creation.

Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Eph 3:9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;

Col 1:14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Col 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

24 elders in heaven declare that God has created all things.
Rev 4:11 "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created."

Bible having so many references to God being the creator of the universe and earth a person who believes in Bible cannot even think that there can be any other explanation. Because a person who has tasted the love of Jesus knows it well that God is almighty and He can do any thing. Not only that when He says some thing that is the truth. But still we will dig deeper into other evidences in the coming days to see if Genesis account holds good or it can be sidelined as many liberal theologians try to do by explaining that there are two creation accounts and so on.
